He was born on 29 September 1954 in Kraków, a city to which he which feels emotionally connected to this day. In 1978, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow under the supervision of Professor Włodzimierz Kunz. In his works, colourful paints cover the canvas in a thick and irregular manner. The artist applies them with rapid, spontaneous strokes, as if resulting from internal impulses, which intensify the expression of the image . Often the excess of paint used flows down the surface of the painting, creating vertical, chaotic and irregular lines. These "unexpected" streams make the still dense, thick texture of the canvases thicker.
