Barbara Gawdzik-Brzozowska (born on 6th April 1927 in Katowice, died 29 April 2010 in Zakopane) - Polish painter, graphic artist, illustrator. Graduate of the Professional School of Tailoring in Kraków and the Faculty of Painting and Graphic Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. She received a diploma in painting from Prof. Eugeniusz Eibisch's (1949) and a diploma in graphic design from Konrad Srzednicki's (1952). From 1955 she lived in Zakopane. She made illustrations, drawings, wall paintings, architectural design and applied design. In 1952-1974 she was an illustrator for Wydawnictwo Literackie and Polskie Wydawnictwo Muzyczne. She designed fashion, furniture, woolen toys and wood-forged jewellery. Participant of over 150 group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Winner of many Polish and foreign awards and distinctions.
