He was born in 1941. He at studied the Academy of Fine Arts in Warszawa in the studio of A. Nacht-Samborski and graduated in 1976. He practises painting, drawing and technical graphics. He has had numerous individual exhibitions in Poland and abroad, mainly in France and Spain. He also participated in several dozen group exhibitions. His paintings, drawings and graphics depict a ludic and grotesque world filled with characters from small towns and villages. The protagonists of the paintings indulge in food, drink, copulation and pagan rituals. The artist uses a shaky line, a spilled watercolour colour spot, a spatial tightening of the composition, as well as a favourite colour range dominated by browns, grayish yellows and blues. The palpable sympathy of the artist for the sad everyday life, contaminated with the indolence of everyday life, allows us to associate his art with the work of Wojtkiewicz. He has exhibited, among others, in Warszawa, Kraków, Wrocław, Paris, London, Zurich, Berlin, Duseldorf, Zaragoza, Tel Aviv, Athens and Chicago. Winner of numerous awards, including: honorable mention in the Jan Spychalski Competition in Poznań (1975, 1976 and 1978), first prize in the "Bielska Jesień" Competition in Bielsko-Biała (1978), the "Talensa" Prize. (1988). His works can be found in museums and private collections in Poland and abroad.
